It all begins with an idea. The inspiration can strike at any moment, like the chance encounter between Kyoko, Nikki, and Levi in a vibrant Amsterdam market. What started as casual meetings evolved into meaningful discussions, revealing shared passions for mental health, art, and the deeper facets of humanity.

Their backgrounds complemented one another; Kyoko brought her artistic insights, exploring the interplay between art and raw human emotions. Nikki offered her expertise in psychology and project management, ensuring that their vision would translate into a structured, impactful event. Levi, with his keen interest in these areas and experience in videography and graphic design, added another layer of creativity to the mix.

With a collective desire to unearth and showcase the shadow sides of individuals—the hidden emotions that often remain concealed—the trio embarked on a journey. They envisioned an exhibition in Amsterdam that would not only highlight these buried feelings but also facilitate healing through art.

Over the course of five months, their idea transformed into reality. With the support of Kyoko's sons, Eka and Aiku, and our dear friend Arnold, who assisted with hanging systems and provided creative input, they meticulously planned and executed the exhibition. This process not only illuminated the layered complexity of human emotions but also strengthened their bond as collaborators and friends.
